Qualifications & experience

• Previous experience in insurance estimating, construction, or a related field
• Strong knowledge of insurance repair processes, building codes, and industry regulations
• Experience with estimating software.
• Excellent attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills
• Strong communication and negotiation abilities

Tasks & responsibilities

• Conduct on-site inspections to assess building damage and determine the scope of works
• Prepare detailed, accurate cost estimates for insurance repairs
• Work closely with insurance companies, clients, and trades to manage claim progress
• Ensure compliance with relevant building codes and insurance requirements
• Negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing
• Maintain clear records and documentation throughout the claims process
